How Bristol Rovers fans saw the 0-0 draw with Walsall
Bristol Rovers fans' views on the 0-0 draw with Walsall
I was in two minds about whether to go after what happened on Tuesday night, but I'm glad I did.
It wasn't the best game owing to a very poor pitch, but there were a lot of positives to take from the performance. The players showed a bit of character in the way they played and I thought we were unlucky not to win the game.
Carl Robson, Whitchurch
I was really worried that we were going to get turned over when I heard that three of our key players were out with injuries.
Credit to the ones that came in. I have not been a big fan of Wright, but he probably had his best game for us.
Elliott was excellent considering he hasn't played for quite a while, and Blizzard also did well in midfield.
Brown looks like he could be a useful acquisition, too.
Mike Paneer, Stroud
A point wasn't the best result in the overall grand scheme of things but the performance certainly bodes well for when Walsall come to the Mem tomorrow night.
I think the play-offs was always going to be a step too far because I don't think we have enough in the squad to make a serious challenge.
A lot will depend on whether we can get a striker this week. I hope we will because our bench was full of kids with hardly any experience of football at this level.
Alison Turner, Downend
There were some rumours that Trollope may have lost the dressing room after Tuesday night's display but I think the players showed they are fully behind him with that performance.
You know the team has done well when the opposition goalkeeper is man-of-the-match and I can't really remember Andersen having to make any significant saves at our end.
Walsall were a pretty poor team but this game was more about the performance and the level of commitment the players showed.
I think they deserve a pat on the back for bouncing back and I really think we will beat Walsall when we play them again tomorrow night.
Mark Case, Bishopston
