Bristol Rovers fan's view: In the top half and looking at the play-offs
At last we are in the top half of the table where we belong.
Win, lose or draw for the last nine games we seemed to have been rooted in 14th position and going nowhere.
But having put our poor early season away form behind us the Gas have now only lost one of their last nine away games – and dare I say it, that is promotion form.
It's still a tall order to reach the play offs but in our current form anything is possible – we are only nine points adrift with two games in hand.
The quality of our play has never been in doubt, it is just we had been giving away soft goals and conceding late in games like at Leicester City.
But at the moment everyone seems to be in form and the competition for places has never been greater. To go 3-0 up in less than 20 minutes away from home as we did at Walsall is impressive stuff, and it speaks volumes when Aaron Lescott suddenly starts scoring after six years as a pro and in his 174th game for Rovers.
Aaron must have taken great pleasure in grabbing two goals and putting one over on his brother Joleon who only managed to find the net once for Everton on Saturday.
By hitting five against the Saddlers people were probably expecting to find Rickie Lambert on the score sheet – but it is brilliant to see goals coming from so many players, especially the strikers as Darryl Duffy got another two while Jo Kuffour, the hero against Leeds, could only get on as sub at Walsall.
We have so many riches at the moment that we could afford to let our captain Stuart Campbell start on the bench and even take off the league's leading goal scorer. Mind you if the best Rickie could do was hit the post then he deserved to come off!
I believe Campbell and Ryan Green are the only regular outfield players not to score so far this season, even Danny Coles has one, not to mention the "goal machine" Craig Hinton, who must be desperate to get on and add to his only goal so far.
Even Steve Phillips has some competition for his place and I cannot wait for our loan signing from Stoke to be used and hear the fans sing "there is only one Danzelle St Louis-Hamilton."
Now we must keep our promotion express train racing up the league and let's hope we don't come off the tracks at Crewe tomorrow night as the Railwaymen have themselves been turning things around lately.
A sweep on the first goal scorer could be interesting.
Who do you fancy, Rickie, Darryl, Ryan or maybe Aaron?
