Bristol Rovers fan's view by Dennis Payter: Defeat was inevitable after so many poor performances
Bristol Rovers fan Dennis Payter: Well, it was always going to happen – we could not keep getting away with playing badly and winning.
OK, it was two penalties and a scrappy winner, and not helped by a poor refereeing performance, but we were playing a side with relegation written all over it which had not won for nine games.

Coming off five home wins, you would have thought Rovers would be the side starting brim-full of confidence. But no, once again we defended too deeply, passed it sideways and back and didn't get into Wycombe's penalty area for nearly half an hour.
Rovers have failed to paper over the cracks and the club seems to have been content with getting away with murder on the pitch just recently.
I don't agree with panic buying when it comes to bringing in players, but let's face it, it's been nearly five months since Rickie Lambert left, and all we have had to show for it has been a loan spell by Chris Dickson.
It ought to be easier to get players to come to a club when it is in the top half of the table, rather than struggling against relegation, yet Jo Kuffour has had to battle on manfully up front without any tangible support.
It has affected his game and he is forgetting to do the simple things, sometimes I believe he thinks he is playing for Brazil.
After last week's latest "get away with murder" result I had hoped Paul Trollope would have shaken up the team. But once again there was no Ben Swallow, until the youngster was asked to come on for the last 10 minutes to save the game.
We played with no width and when Trolls always talks about "playing with energy", I fail to see how Mark Wright is ahead of Andy Williams in that department.
At least Williams looks likely to cause some panic in opposition defences. Wright cannot get past a man, while defensively I have yet to see him put in a good tackle. He's not a replacement for David Pipe.
It speaks volumes that once again at home our goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen was our best player, and we are fortunate that he wants to stay with Rovers.
The big Dane and Lambert were great acquisitions for the Gas, but just lately we have made some poor signings. It is time for our director of football to redeem himself and prove he doesn't just talk the talk.
We are live on Sky TV on Monday night in a couple of weeks. If we don't improve soon, viewers will be switching over to Panorama in their droves before half-time.
