Former Bristol Rovers chairman Ron Craig is seriously ill
Former Bristol Rovers chairman Ron Craig is seriously ill in Frenchay Hospital after collapsing at his home.
It is not clear whether Mr Craig, who is in his late 70s, suffered a heart attack or a stroke but he needed to be revived by paramedics on Thursday evening and it is understood his heart stopped beating for around five minutes.

Mr Craig joined the Rovers board in the mid-1980s and was vice-chairman to Geoff Dunford for a number of years, taking over as chairman in April 2007 – a month before the side won promotion to League One at Wembley.
He stood down when Nick Higgs took over as chairman just over a year ago, but remains on the Pirates' board.

“I am deeply distressed by this sad news and wish Ron all the best for a quick recovery. Whenever I have had a trip back to Bristol Ron and Geoff Dunford have always ensured that I've been well treated by the club.”
