Bristol Rovers begin bid to beat the cold snap
Bristol Rovers have today covered the Memorial Stadium pitch in a bid to beat the predicted cold snap.
Forecasters have predicted sub-zero temperatures for the remainder of this week ahead of Rovers' scheduled clash against Exeter City on Saturday.
Rovers' ground-staff and Futsal Scolars laid the covers, which protect against temperatures as low as -4, this morning and they will remain in place until a few hours before kick off on Saturday.
The club, meanwhile, are to screen the planning meeting which will decide whether or not Sainsbury's will be allowed to built a superstore on the current Memorial Stadium site.
