Bristol Pitbulls will bid to maintain their unbeaten league record when they host Wightlink Tigers tomorrow.

The Pitbulls are one of only two undefeated teams in Division Two of the English National League, and they have been beaten only twice in their last 16 games –both of those defeats coming in cup clashes.

Bristol's league form has taken them up to second in the table, four points behind leaders Solent & Gosport and with four games in hand on the Hampshire outfit.

They have also reached the semi-finals of the ENHL Cup, with the Tigers among the teams they have seen off to reach that stage.

Pitbulls player-coach Rich Hargreaves, who is the league's leading points scorer, said: "The league is really starting to heat up now. Every team has improved immensely since the start of the season.

"We've been playing catch-up in the league because of the cup competition, but now that we have qualified to the semi-finals we can concentrate on the league.

"Wightlink aren't going to be a pushover this weekend.

"They have been on the end of three losses to us, so they have a point to prove."

Doors at the Bristol Ice Rink on Frogmore Street open at 5.20pm tomorrow, with face-off at 5.55.

Tickets can be brought from the club website, at www.bristolpitbulls.com.
