Bristol Manor Farm gave a storming second-half performance to reach the fourth round of the FA Vase.

Sussex County League opponents Peacehaven were beaten by three goals, all of which came after the interval.

Manor Farm boss John Black said: "We travelled on Friday evening, which meant that we had plenty of time to prepare for the game.

"Gary Saunders returned to the centre of the defence after a six-week absence to give us some stability as we came under pressure for the first 30 minutes.

"After a goalless first half, we really turned on the style to outplay them."

Farm came out fired up for the second half and took the lead a minute after the restart, when Phil Vice cut in from the left to score with a 20-yard drive that skidded off the wet surface to beat the goalkeeper.

Brad Abrahams broke from midfield to make it 2-0 on the hour and Manor Farm completed the scoring two minutes before the final whistle when Luke Clarke rounded the goalkeeper.

The shock result of the day involved Welton Rovers, who crashed out of the competition and had a player sent off as they lost 6-1 at Willand Rovers.

Wellington scored through Shane Kingstone and Will Gardner, but were beaten 3-2 at home by Epsom & Ewell, while Dawlish Town went through 3-1 after extra-time against Brockenhurst.

Almondsbury Town went out after being beaten 4-0 away from home by Hellenic Premier rivals Witney Town.

Town manager Richard Thompson said: "We failed to take our chances and paid the penalty.

"We were second best to Witney on the day and they deserved their victory."

Anaclet Odhiambo and Ben Thompson gave Witney a two-goal lead, while Matt Williams missed a good chance of putting Almondsbury back into the game.

Five minutes before half-time, Almondsbury were awarded a penalty when Ross Stearn was brought down but the decision was then reversed as offside was given instead.

In the second half, Stearn and Williams both missed further chances before Witney scored late goals through Odhiambo and Tom Butler.
