Bristol Karate students take top honours!
Bristol Karate Students as young as 9 and as old as 33 competed in a South West tournament on Sunday. The event, organised by the England wing of the worldwide Japan Karate Association (JKA) saw Bristol top the medals table with 8 finalists and 12 medals in total. The under 11's kata (forms) category saw Bristol dominate all four final places. Senior Bristol Instructor Michael Harris said "It was a great opportunity to pit skills against local JKA clubs from Glastonbury, Weston-Super-Mare, Norton Radstock, Mendips and Taunton. Students increased their confidence and senior grades got the chance to practice refereeing and judging." For more information visit www.bristolkarate.org.
