Bristol Ice Skaters Offered New Place to Skate
ICE SKATERS are being offered a new place to skate as Cadbury Garden Centre prepares to launch its festive attraction.
Cadbury Garden & Leisure in Congresbury is opening a real ice rink this weekend as part of its Christmas celebrations following the success of last year's first ever rink.
The centre is welcoming skaters from Bristol's ice rink - which is due to close on October 31 - for the launch of the Christmas attraction.
Paul Butchers, Store Manager, says he is honoured to welcome the skaters from the Bristol ice rink, who will perform for the launch ceremony on October 27, at 12pm.

He said: "Bristol's ice rink had been once of Bristol's main attractions for the past 45-years and therefore everyone was shocked to learn that is was going to close.
"We wanted to give the skaters from the rink somewhere to get their skates on again and they agreed to officially open our festive ice rink as a part of a day of free entertainment.
"We are sure that following the huge success of last year's rink, thousands of families will enjoy the festive season here at Cadbury Garden & Leisure."
The 432-square metre ice rink will seven days a week until Sunday January 6, 2013, visit www.g-l.co.uk for a full list of opening times.
Top quality skates will be provided and Ice Marshalls will be on hand to help the little ones and adults find their feet.
New additions this year include parent and toddler sessions, a brand new ice rink café and party nights with two hours of skating time, mulled wine or bucks fizz on arrival, finger buffet, live DJ and a licensed bar.
A maximum of 150 skaters will be allowed on the ice at any one time and advanced booking is strongly advisable.
Photographers will be on hand to capture moments on the rink with photos being available within minutes.
A one off Halloween Ice Skating Party is also being held at the garden centre from 6pm-8pm, on Wednesday 31st October 2012, costing £10 per child and £12 per adult for two hours skating, competitions and a live DJ.
