Stepping out: Staff at Bristol Hippodrome are to trek 16 miles from Wales to Bristol to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The eight members of the groups sales department – or Fabulous Ladies of Groups (Flog) – as they are known, will set off from the other side of the Old Severn Crossing on Sunday.

They reckon they will take about five hours to get back to the Hippodrome on the Flog Slog and hope to raise more than £1,000.

General manager Gary Roden will be their driving support on the day and Tony Bell, stage door manager and seasoned walker, will also help guide them.

Trish Hodson, group sales manager and disability liaison, said: "We're hoping for good weather and not too much wind while we are walking over the bridge."
