Away from the glamour and intensity of the UK and English Schools' Championships the young girls of North Somerset Athletic Club were making their own mark in the Avon League history book.

The quartet of Hannah Grimes, Anicia Skeates, Katie Grinyer and Sophie Thomas won the Under-13 girls' relay in a time of 56.00secs to clip 0.4secs off the previous mark that was set in 1992. A top performance by the youngsters.
