New Bristol City head coach Sean O’Driscoll made five changes to the side beaten 4-0 by Leicester last time out.

Tom Heaton was recalled in goal and veteran defender Louis Carey was restored to the back four as O’Driscoll opted for experience.

Neil Kilkenny was promoted to the starting line-up to face his former club and was deployed alongside Cole Skuse in the centre of midfield.

O’Driscoll dropped Jon Stead to the bench and recalled Ryan Taylor to spearhead his attack with Paul Anderson deployed in a withdrawn role just behind him.
