Bristol City target Danns joins Championship rivals Huddersfield
Bristol City have suffered a huge blow by missing out on Neil Danns, the midfielder who spent a successful loan spell at Ashton Gate between November and early January.
Although Danns returned to parent club Leicester last week after making nine appearances for the Robins, manager Derek McInnes was keen to negotiate a deal to bring the 30-year-old back for a second spell.

Neil Danns: On his way to Huddersfield
But his hopes were today dashed when Danns instead travelled north to sign for Championship rivals Huddersfield Town on loan until the end of the season.
While Danns enjoyed his time at Bristol City, it is thought he wanted to be nearer to his family, who are based on Merseyside.

“I see my suggestion has gone down like a lead Balloon, Piledriver apart has anyone got any constructive opinions on how BCFC are to progress. Thought not , just carry on moaning.
I have not been a regular at the Gate since 92-93 reason being, i was stupid enough to attend the opening game of that Season with my two young lads ,in the Dolman , Portsmouth supporters were allocated a section of the Dolman , at the same time a large number of City hard boys , had also decided to watch the match in the Dolman. The inevitable happened ,mayhem with the City boys legging it , leaving myself and others to fight of the marauding Pompey fans not easy with two terrified youngsters to protect . Until order was restored at which point i made my feelings more than obvious to the Police.
After 25 years of watching City Home and Away, including the bottom of the 4th tier, i watched my last game against Southend and did not return. Albeit i moved to London for 14 yrs where upon i started watching West Ham , but whenever City were in London i did my best to attend. But despite it all i will always be a City fan if not a supporter, because they are my team, and you never give up on them.Cue the red arrows .”

“Piledriver , you wanted Dans yesterday , even suggesting we match his salary until the end of the season ,
What has changed ?,if he had enjoyed his stay he would have been coming back , I suspect he didn't like what he seen going on around him.
As for making the players more accessible what a joke , BCFC has treated us supporters as idiots over the past three seasons , we get the occasional half time speech from SL, ( turns out that was a side show to keep us sweet)
As for Del only sticks his head above the wall when something good happens , sends out his lackey when it's bad news,
Not missed a home game through choice for nearly 20 years , this weekend I will be giving it a miss not a protest just can't be assed to go, now I had mates who used to go to every game call it a habit ,missed a couple of games and got out the habit nothing has tempted them back , they would rather play golf , just wonder how many more there will be doing the same soon.
Sort it out SL we are the laughing stock of this division,”

“More reason to believe no one at Ashton gate takes this championship serious !”

“Does anyone else believe that if the diggers moved into Ashton Vale tomorrow and started the groundwork and with it the first step in the building of the new stadium.
Resulting in a whole new scenario in which Mcinnes is replaced , and with the owners dream now becoming a reality, the purse strings would go ping . Now with a good budget available to spend,a top notch manager would be enticed to the Gate , who would be able to attract much better quality players in the key position that need filling, and relegation is avoided.
Many will think the picture i have painted is utter nonsense , but for me it is not. That is how important i believe the new stadium is.”

“HOW much a week should City pay the elusive midfielders and central defenders to compete at Championship level. How much per week should Huddersfield pay Danns?
You get what you pay for.”

“I'm not tht disappointed, TBH.
Danns is a scouser so it is nearer his home, however, as we also lost Gerrad to them, it's also salary and they are, perhaps, making some of the same mistakes we have in terms of paying big money.
I understand that Danns was earning £30kpw at Leicester and if that is the case then, as he isn't the truly creative midfielder we seek, I would rather look elsewhere.”

Hope you're right mate not me regarding the Leicester game. But i really do think we're going to be up against a team that is going to push on in the new year. With the signing of Woods, i think they have a player who will fire the goals they need to finish top of the championship.
I've got a feeling it's gonna be real bad !”
