Bristol City stadium plans
I am concerned at the BCFC's plans for a Tesco superstore as I feel strongly that public land 'owned' by the people of Bristol should not be used for this purpose.
Local residents need to be properly consulted and their opinions fully considered. In my opinion we are already served by Aldi, Lidl, two Tesco outlets, Sainsbury's and Asda from the supermarket world.

Many local independent stores sell food and there is plenty of choice. We already exceed the ratio of shopping opportunities needed for the number of people who live in the vicinity.
Increased traffic will contribute to worse noise, pollution and safety in a community with all ages and abilities.
This is poor use of the land and purely driven by one event for Bristol many years hence. We don't need a new supermarket.

I am writing with regards to September 24's Evening Post article regarding Bristol City's new stadium and Tesco.
1. We have a consultancy firm concluding there is no need for another supermarket in the Bristol 3 area, in fact it would harm the vitality and viability of the centre of Bedminster.
2. CEO of Bristol City, Colin Sextone, reiterates his previous statement "No food store, no new stadium".
3. The Evening Post has continued on Page 9 to use 80 per cent of the page as propaganda for the new stadium.
Are they knowingly using this as advertising propaganda for Tesco knowing that it would harm Bedminster?
