Bristol City defender Bradley Orr is adamant tomorrow's big Ashton Gate showdown against Coca-Cola Championship promotion favourites West Bromwich Albion is a game to look forward to rather than fear.

Far from being daunted by the prospect of facing opponents who have lost only once on their travels all season and who appear destined for a quick return to the Premier League, Orr is relishing the prospect of pitting his wits against what he describes as "the best football team" in the second tier.

City may be uncomfortably close to the relegation zone, but Orr dismisses suggestions that he and his team-mates are under pressure and claims the opportunity to take on Roberto Di Matteo's in-form title contenders will bring out the best in the Robins.

"We're just going to enjoy this game," said Orr. "People talk about pressure and must-win this, that and the other and it's not right.

"There's no pressure on us – we're playing football for a living and it's the best job on the planet.

"Time soon sneaks up on you and, before you know it, you're hanging up your boots and retiring. I believe you have to enjoy every minute of being a professional footballer because, when you play with a smile on your face, with a determination and a passion, that's when you tend to get the best performances as individuals and as a team.

"It's about preparing yourself in the right way, making sure you are on your mettle and then going out there and enjoying the experience of playing a team like West Brom."

He added: "West Brom are a top side, but we can't afford to stand off them and be timid. We'll take the game to them and I think it will bring out the best in us, just as playing Leicester did in the week."

City were held 1-1 at home by the Foxes, but produced a much-improved performance which will help restore confidence ahead of arguably their biggest test since losing 4-1 to Albion at the Hawthorns in November.

"Although we came off the pitch disappointed at letting in another late goal, the fact we had played so well against one of the top teams was uplifting," said Orr.

"Our performance against Leicester was definitely an improvement on recent weeks and, because of that, we can go into the next game feeling confident and upbeat and believing we can get a win.

"It will be a great occasion, one of those games you look forward to playing in."

Tomorrow's game kicks-off at 2pm and will be screened live by the BBC. And City manager Gary Johnson is hoping his players put up more of a fight than when last they appeared on national TV.

City were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Cardiff in front of the Sky Sports cameras in August and Johnson admitted: "It will be nice to put the record straight.

"It's good for the club as a whole to be on the TV – it gives Bristol City a chance to sell itself to a worldwide audience.

"What happened at Cardiff earlier in the season was disappointing, but we now have another opportunity to show a big TV audience what we can do."
