Bristol City defender Lewin Nyatanga believes all the pressure will be on England when they meet Wales to contest a place at Euro 2012.

Paired together in qualifying Group G when the draw was made in Warsaw's Palace of Culture and Science earlier this week, the two home countries will vie for domestic bragging rights in games at the Millennium Stadium and Wembley.

Although Fabio Capello's England are short-priced favourites with bookmakers to top a group which also includes Bulgaria, Switzerland and Montenegro and make the finals in Poland and Ukraine, Wales international Nyatanga insists the Three Lions will not have things all their own way.

He said: "Everyone will expect England to qualify, but all the pressure will be on them when they play Wales.

"We are a young and improving team and we really will have nothing to lose in the two games against England. Anything can happen on the days and we have individuals who can cause them problems.

"It's a derby and I know how much it will mean to the Welsh players. England are seen as a big scalp and playing at Wembley is going to be a massive incentive for us.

"We know that shocks and upsets can happen and it was not that long ago that England lost a qualifier in Northern Ireland."

Two fixtures against England represent a significant boost to the coffers at the cash-strapped Welsh FA and Nyatanga, who has accrued nearly 30 caps for his country, welcomed the draw.

He said: "Everyone loves a home international and these are high profile games which are sure to get a lot of media attention and generate plenty of money.

"England may disagree, but I think a lot of people in Wales, Ireland and Scotland miss the old Home International series and it would be nice to see something like that brought back.

"We don't get to play England that often these days and we're all looking forward to what should be two massive occasions at Cardiff and Wembley."

He added: "It's a tough group, but then you always want to test yourself against the better teams and there are some exciting trips and games in prospect.

"It's still a bit too far off to think about, but I'd love to be involved.

"The chance to play against England is certainly a great incentive for me to stay in the team at Bristol City and play well."
