Transfer-listed Bristol City goalkeeper Adriano Basso has turned down the chance to join Exeter City.

The League One side are looking for a goalkeeper and City were happy to let the Brazilian, who is refusing to sign a new contract, leave Ashton Gate.

“Basso doesn't want to play for City anymore, so it's right he is used as cover - the club moves on. There is no interest in him. He was a non league keeper until we gave him a break, sadly it looks like four seasons at BCFC is going to be his entire career.”

“Funny how Gary only mentioned the Exeter interest.

But "forgot" to mention the offers from Leicester and West Ham who wanted experienced cover for Green.

Funny also how he's available for a free to exeter but when other clubs came along suddenly he wanted a fee!

Either you want him or you don't Gary!

He's our best keeper PLAY HIM!”

“No doubt he ha something better lined up at the end of the season.
Hopefully then the truth will come out.”

“One wonders how grateful he will be for an offer from Exeter City while attending the Job Centre.”
