Bristol City midfielder Frankie Artus has joined Cheltenham Town on loan.

The Bristolian, who spent a short spell with the League Two club last season, will remain at Whaddon Road for a month.

He is one of several young Bristol City professionals to be loaned out in recent days and follows James Wilson (Brentford), Tristan Plummer and Marlon Jackson (both Hereford).

Robins boss Johnson said: "This is a good time for those lads to go out on loan, because they will get regular games while we have a two-week international break.

"It means they will be match fit and available to us if we need to recall them at the end of September. They need games and they will be gaining valuable experience at the same time."
