Bristol City fans' views on the win at Barnsley

Bristol City I was really worried for the first 15 minutes when we could have been three or four behind.

But after that we dominated the game and was by far our best away performance of the season.

Mike Arthur, Bedminster

Evander Sno showed just how good he can be with a really strong midfield showing.

He took his goal really well and let's just hope this is the first of many he will score for us.

Jason Williams, Bishopsworth

This is the strongest squad City have managed to put together ever since I've been watching them.

You only had to look on the bench and see the quality of players like Cole Skuse, Alvaro Saborio and Paul Hartley and be confident that if someone is injured we have a quality player to come on.

Alex Davey, Keynsham

What a win, but it could all have been so different if Barnsley had scored the first goal.

But Dean Gerken made a great save to keep it at 0-0 and as soon as we scored the crowd went very quiet and we dominated for the rest of the game.

Rob Little, Failand

When the team was read out and there was no Hartley or Saborio I thought we might be in for a tough afternoon.

Then the two lads up front, Maynard and Haynes ripped them apart and we deserved our win and move us up into fifth place in The Championship.

Sharon Lewis, Nailsea

Even after a few dodgy performances we are still in fifth place in the Championship and that after everyone said the likes of West Brom, Newcastle and Boro would run away with it.

It shows that we can compete in this league and we can get promotion to the Premier League.

Tim Lewis, Nailsea

Maynard has shown once again what a quality player he is and I just hope that we get promotion this year because if he keeps on scoring he will be a target for some Premier League clubs.

But we need him to keep banging in the goals for City and then we will be in the Premier League and more quality players will want to come and play for us.

Gary Nicholls, Keynsham

What a result for us and now the other teams are going to have to sit up and take us seriously.

We have a really good set of players here and we can take on the best that the Championship has to offer and beat them.

Today we looked as though we could rip any team apart with the strike-force that we have here and we are really looking the part. Come on City!

Steve Robertson, Hartcliffe
