Bristol City defender Lewin Nyatanga out to restore pride at Blackpool
Lewin Nyatanga claims pride will be the spur when Bristol City return to Bloomfield Road to take on Blackpool in the npower Championship this weekend.
A member of the Robins team blown away 5-0 by the Seasiders last season, the Wales international defender is eager to avenge a defeat that cost then-manager Keith Millen his job.

Bristol City centre-back Lewin Nyatanga will be out for revenge at Bloomfield Road.
“As a professional, it is never nice being on the end of a result like that,” recalled Nyatanga, “and it is something you don’t ever want to repeat.
“It is in the back of your mind and it is something we all want to change and put right.

“The best way to respond to what happened last season is to go there with a positive outlook and take the three points.”
Back in the side as a replacement for injured centre-back Louis Carey, Nyatanga is expected to retain his place at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
He said: “I’ve not played as much as I would have liked this season, but I knew if I kept my head down and kept training hard an opportunity would come.
“I’m really happy to be playing again and my main goal now is to stay in the team.”

“After a City Player not scoring for what is now 450 minutes away from home, our focus needs to shift from defence.”

“If Carey is fit, i would hope he plays and Nyatanga drops to the bench. A right-footed CB offers better balance and Carey is a far better player.”
