Bristol City have announced ticket details for the prestige pre-season friendly against Ajax at Ashton Gate on July 15 - with Under-16s admitted for free.

The cost of entry to the game against the former European Cup winners has also been reduced for season card holders.

Adults can get in for £12, while senior citizens, the disabled and student tickets are £5.

General sale prices are also well down against normal matchday rates with £15 for adults and £7 for concessions.

Tickets for the Ajax clash will go on sale to season card holders and members only from Monday, June 15 before going on general sale from Monday, June 22.

Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult, with up to four under-16s per grown-up.

Schools will have the opportunity to make group bookings via the Bristol City's Football In The Community department.

The school selling the most tickets will win the chance to nominate pupils to form a guard of honour as the two teams run out.

Group managing director Doug Harman says: "It is a fantastic coup for the club to get a club of Ajax's calibre down to Ashton Gate.

"I am sure that our supporters will turn out in force for what promises to be a very exciting friendly.

"We are conscious that we are offering a packed pre-season programme this summer and have therefore decided to set prices accordingly.

"We are hopeful that by reducing admission prices for season card holders and members, along with free entry to under-16s, we will attract a healthy crowd to what will be the club's first home match of the new season."

Ticket information for the matches against Wolves (Saturday, July 25) and Wycombe (Saturday, August 1) will be announced later.
