Bristol City have agreed the signing of Barnsley winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce for an undisclosed fee, subject to a medical.

The 26-year-old has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract at Ashton Gate.

He is cup-tied for tonight's FA Cup replay with Cardiff City but could be available for next week's league clash with the same side.

Jamaica international Campbell-Ryce has previously played for Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient, Wimbledon, Chesterfield, Rotherham United, Southend United and Colchester United. He moved to Barnsley in 2007 and scored 13 goals in 100 appearances for the Yorkshire club.

“Seems like he's had almost as many clubs as Nick Carle! Hope it works out.”
