There were some excellent performances last weekend but one that caught the eye, buried deep in the results of Bristol & West AC's Midland League Division One fixture at Rugby, was Ding Yang's.

In his first attempt at the senior 110m hurdles, the 17-year-old former AAA Under-15 long jump champion won the B event in a time of 16.2secs, good enough for fifth in the South West Under-20 Rankings. Quite a debut.
