Bristol Academy will be setting their sights on a place in the last eight of the FA Women's Cup when they take on Birmingham City at Oaklands Park, Almondsbury on Sunday (2pm).

Gary Green's side finally settled their fourth-round clash at Watford last weekend at the third time of asking when they won 3-1 after two weather-induced postponements.

All the goals came in the last quarter of the game. Kerry Bartlett put the visitors ahead before Lisa Burrows levelled. But Bartlett struck again and Justine Lorton put the outcome beyond doubt with a third.

Academy coach Green said: "We were missing a few players – Gwen Harries and Kerry Manley through injuries, while Michelle Green was not ready to return and Grace McCatty was suspended.

"Hopefully, we will have at least a couple of them back for Sunday.

"There was a real buzz around the place after we beat Watford – it was our first away win this season.

"Now, hopefully, we can get through on Sunday. We beat Birmingham 4-2 at home earlier in the season, although we lost 2-1 at their place."

The weather again wiped out a fair proportion of the local programme last weekend, although there were big wins for Yeovil Town and Forest Green Rovers in the SW Combination.

Four goals from Phili Helliwell and Charlotte King's hat-trick gave Forest Green a 7-2 win at Oxford City, while Anusia Rourke's treble – plus goals from Jemma Tewkesbury and Kayleigh Nardiello – secured Yeovil's 5-0 trouncing of Swindon Town.

Weston St Johns' clash with leaders QPR was among the clutch of postponed fixtures.
