A new singing group has been set up for people over 50 from Southville and Bedminster.

The Southville and Bedminster Singing Group meets at Ashton Park School on Blackmoor's Lane in Bower Ashton from 10am-noon on Saturdays.

The first session is free, and sessions after that cost £1.50 with refreshments provided.

The group, run by the LinkAge project, will be singing songs from the Beatles to Vera Lynn.

The group will meet on December 6, 13 and 20 – with Christmas carols and mince pies on December 20. The sessions will continue in the New Year.

If you would like to come along, contact Hazel on 0117 3052365, or email hazel.gibbs@stmonicatrust. org.uk. For transport, call Brian Hall on 07917 594949.
