The grand final of the Let's back Bristol 2018 World Cup quiz is taking place at the Council House tonight.

More than a hundred schoolchildren will be competing in the quiz, which will be presided over by Bristol 2018's official celebrity ambassador Justin Lee Collins.

Teams from 22 primary schools are vying for the opportunity to accompany Bristol's World Cup 2018 bid to Wembley stadium in November. The winning side will also be presented with a replica World Cup.

Stephen Wray, project director for Bristol 2018, said: "These young people really know their stuff. And tonight's the night when the final four will find out they're going to Wembley."

The 24 schools in the grand final are: Ashton Vale, New Oak, Air Balloon, School of Christ the King, Knowle Park, Parson Street, St Teresa's, Cheddar Grove, Hillcrest, St Bernard's, Headley Park, Four Acres, St Bernadette, Brentry, Sefton Park, Wansdyke, South Street Compass Point, Connaught, Ashton Gate, St George CE, Luckwell, and Waycroft.
