Bridgwater & Albion 20 Lydney 0: Bridgwater defeated Lydney in a scrappy National Three South clash.

Bridgwater took their chances better than Lydney, scoring two soft tries both from Lydney errors.

Lydney went behind after 10 minutes when Luke Cozens converted a simple penalty for Bridgwater for offside.

Bridgwater set up a good position with a line-out near the Lydney goal-line and Ben Purcell scored a close range try converted by Cozens.

Lydney came more into the match and a good break by Tony Wicks should have brought a try for Charlie Vine but he was tackled just short. Chris Holder also went close but Bridgwater went further ahead with a second penalty from Cozens.

The second half was much the same with both teams' defences on top. Bridgwater made the match safe when a mix-up in the Lydney defence when they failed to deal with a high kick saw Cozens go over near the posts for a try which he also converted.

The final quarter saw both teams have their chances but it ended in a scrappy match.
