Bridgwater swept into the semi-finals of the Somerset Premier Cup with a fine second-half display at Fairfax Park last night.

The home side went ahead through Chris Young after 12 minutes, but Portishead captain Cleve Holder equalised on 19 minutes.

An own goal by Jordan Cleary in the 52nd minute enabled Bridgwater to go ahead, and they added three more goals in the final 20 minutes – through Dan Forward, Graham Merceica and Steve Orchard.

Bridgwater will now play the winners of tonight's tie between Clevedon United and Paulton Rovers.
