Abingdon United 0 Bridgwater Town 0: Bridgwater maintained their unbeaten away record in Division One South and West of the Southern League – but they will be disappointed not to have taken all three points at Abingdon.

The home side had James Organ sent off for two bookable offences in the second half and came under extended pressure.

But despite some fine individual play by Nat Pepperell, who hit a post in the first half, Bridgwater were unable to break down Abingdon's defence.

If only Town could have traded one of the eight goals they scored at Cinderford in midweek.

However, the result means Bridgwater stay sixth in the table and they are in much better shape to mount a serious challenge for promotion than they were last season, when they eventually finished seventh.

They have games in hand on three of the teams above them and no other team in the division has a better goal difference.
