Bristol City midfielder Brian Howard will have a run out in the club’s Under-21 development team tonight.

Signed on a short-term deal until the end of the season, the experienced midfielder is one of three over-age players named in the squad to face Charlton Athletic at Ashton Gate.

Brian Howard will play for Bristol City's Under-21 side against Charlton Athletic as an over-age player.

A free agent after being released from his contract by Portsmouth in January, Howard joined the Robins on February 15 following a successful two-week trial period.

But he has yet to start a Championship game, twice coming off the bench towards the end of contests against Cardiff City and Barnsley.
