A boy suffered head injuries after falling under a tractor ride at a country park in Keynsham.

The youngster was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital after falling under the wheels of a trailer during a ride at Avon Valley Country Park at 5pm on Monday.

Health and safety officials from Bath & North East Somerset Council are investigating.

Management at the Pixash Lane park said the land train attraction, which involves a full-size tractor pulling a trailer around the site, had been closed until while the operator carried out their own review.

Director Jack Jenkins said they had been in contact with the boy's family and he was making a good recovery.
