Bristol sales start from 5am
Bargain hunters will be able to get big discounts in some Bristol stores if they are prepared to get up early on Boxing Day.
The first department store in Broadmead to open its doors on December 26 is Debenhams which will be starting their post Christmas sale at 7am.
-
Most shops started discounting early this year but there is still a chance to buy goods at knock-down prices.
Bhs in Broadmead will be open from 9am on Boxing Day as will House of Fraser in Cabot Circus.
For those looking for cut price electrical goods, Comet at Cribbs Causeway will open from 10am on Boxing Day.
And there is bound to be a big queue waiting for Gardiner Haskins Homecentre in Broad Plain, Bristol, to open at the same time.
Furniture store DFS at Cribbs Causeway opens at 9am on Boxing Day but some stores including Marks and Spencer in Broadmead, and Next and Harvey Nichols at Cabot Circus will be closed that day.
However, Next will be the first store to open on December 27 at 5am. In previous years shoppers have been known to bed down in sleeping bags outside to be the first through the doors when the sale begins.
M&S will open at 6am on December 27 but many will have normal 9am Saturday opening times including Comet, DFS, BHS and House of Fraser.
Harvey Nichols will open at 9.30am on December 27.

“To all you brainless morons who will be cluttering up the car parks and bringing the roads of Bristol to a complete standstill on boxing day,you are all sad shallow vultures who should hang your heads in shame, but there again it wont affect me as i will be firmly ensconsed in my warm and cosy ivory tower watching you cretins as the red mist descends.”

“¿Very insulted¿ If you care to re-read my last post I said I would much rather see people working then claiming benefits, that is no way in relation to Woolworths staffs and the such losing their jobs, they lost their jobs for a reason, I was merely pointing to the ones that do not work because they refuse, I even sprung to their defence by saying this.. ¿ well they shouldn't be in low paid jobs" short-sighted brigade will come out.
