Boco's mean machine keeps up the press
AEK Boco kept up their challenge for the Under-12 Division I title with a 4-0 victory over Stoke Lane and their third clean sheet on the spin.
Bradley Wheadon shot over from 20 yards before putting Boco ahead. Clever build-up play on the right led to the ball being played into Tom Norley's feet, who produced a fine turn and goal-bound strike which was handled on the line by a Stoke Lane defender.
The Lane keeper made a good save from the spot but could not hold on to the ball, and Wheadon stole in to calmly place the rebound into the bottom corner of the net.
Jack Robson made it 2-0, firing in a quality cross by Jack Green.
Jack Madge had to make a goal-line clearance as Boco took their foot off the throttle for a spell, before a fine through ball by Keaton Lacey saw Robson beat two defenders before being brought down. Will Brant converted the spot-kick with precision.
Boco completed the scoring after the break when Brant's effort was cleared only as far as Madge, who scored with a searing drive.
Bitton also picked up three points, a Callum Wright double and goals from Callum Ball and Luke Saward sealing a 4-0 victory in a scrappy game against a battling St Vallier side.

Just before half-time, Warmley went 3-0 up, Jay Vile scoring from an indirect free-kick awarded for a deliberate back pass by a Yate player.
The teams cancelled each other out in the second half, with the Warmley defence well marshalled by their man-of-the-match Ben Makepeace.

They took the lead when Dec Carvell won possession and crossed for Shorney to slot home. Sam Hynam slipped home an equaliser for Ashton before half-time and Ryanlee Williams fired them ahead after the break with a searing drive.
With the game looking like it was slipping away from the home side, substitute Munro netted twice in five minutes to win the game for Rovers.
Ashton bombarded Rovers in the last 10 minutes but they were denied an equaliser by outstanding goalkeeper Joe Davies and some fine defending by star man Ash Siddal.
Whitchurch Sports returned to winning ways with a 5-3 victory at Division II pacesetters Brislington.
Brislington scored first but Whitchurch roared back to lead 3-1 at half-time. Robbie Dixon equalised after a fine ball by Ben Lea over the top of the defence, Sam Ford fired in a pinpoint Jacob Sparks cross at the back post and Luke Trowbridge tucked away a Dixon pass.
Sparks added the fourth with a penalty and, after the home side had ensured a tense finale by pulling two goals back, Dixon settled the nerves with a fifth for Whitchurch.
Yate Rangers continued their recent revival with a 3-2 Division II win against Ashton Boys B, who took the lead against the run of play when defensive confusion allowed Lewis Dowle in to score.
Dan Burton burst through to level for Yate before Dowle netted again to restore Ashton's advantage.
Yate hit back just before half-time when a Joe Wood corner found Harry Wren in space to score with his second attempt.

Chris Kelly made it 6-0 when he found himself unmarked in the box and coolly slotted the ball home.
Content that the game was safe, the home side eased up and allowed Heath a glimmer of hope by conceding two goals. However, the last word went to Saints' man-of-the-match Phillips, who completed his hat-trick with an unstoppable shot.
Winterbourne United put in a battling performance to beat a tough Broadwalk side 2-1.
United took a deserved first-half lead when Dan Kerton set up Jamie Studley. But they had to withstand plenty of Broadwalk pressure early in the second half before extending their advantage when Studley again finished well, this time from a Ross Sharpe cross. Broadwalk gave themselves a glimmer of hope with a goal from Jack Mundy and they could well have grabbed a point had their late penalty not been steered wide of a relieved Ben Slade's post.
