MEMBERS of the Avon & Somerset Constabulary Male Voice Choir will be singing for their supper in an evening's entertainment at All Saints Church in Pembroke Road, Clifton.

The evening, organised by business group Soroptimist International Club of Bristol, is in aid of the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and will include the choir's repertoire covering ballads, songs for stage and film musicals, light operatic choruses and current popular songs.

The choir consists almost entirely of serving and retired police officers and special constabulary.

It enjoys a high reputation for its quality of performance for which it has been awarded numerous cups and certificates at choral competitions under the professional leadership of the musical director Alison Howell.
