Boat fire in Bristol harbour
A boat thought to belong to sea cadets was set on fire in
Bristol docks early today.
Avon and Fire and Rescue service was alerted just before
5am.
The burning 4-metre vessel, which was moored off Cumberland
Basin, was badly damaged.
A fire brigade spokesman said the glassfibre boat had been
deliberately set alight.

“"Don't they have insurance? Just claim on your insurance and you won't be out of pocket. Simple really. Anne H, Bristol" Just EXACTLY what point are you trying to make, Anne? Apart from the stupidest comment I have read today?”

“Its appalling that kids who have decided to join the cadets to improve themselves and learn new things and make new friends have been stopped, by those who did not take up the oppertunities that were aviable and have thus decidided to wreck it for others. They should be ashamed of themselves.”

“I use to be a member of this sea cadet unit and it is easily accessed via water and even on land. You do need to climb over a fence, but it is still possible to access it. It is a shame and I hope they get this sorted :-)”
