ANDREW Blowers has hailed flying Bristol winger David Lemi as "one of a kind".

The Samoan speedster scored a remarkable solo try as Bristol went down 33-20 at home to Bath on the opening day of the Guinness Premiership season last weekend.

And veteran former New Zealand back-rower, Blowers, expects more excitement from the 26-year-old as the season goes on.

Bristol head to Harlequins today looking to register their first points of the new Premiership campaign – and Blowers is confident that Lemi and his fellow pacy backs can wreak havoc if they are given enough quick ball.

"The Rocket Man, Lemi, is one of a kind. You give him the ball and you've got a big chance of at least breaking the line," said Blowers.

"We have seen him carve up defences in the sevens – and he can do exactly the same in fifteens.

"So one of the focuses for us is to get our ball runners like Dave and the Arscott brothers plenty of ball – and then watch them go."

Blowers scored the early try for Bristol during their defeat to Bath last weekend, and the 33-year-old is confident they can put things right at the Twickenham Stoop today.

"You have 24 hours after the game to celebrate a win or reflect on a defeat – and then you bury it and move on," said Blowers.

Neil Brew comes in for the injured Junior Fatialofa at inside centre, while head coach Richard Hill has shuffled his back five forwards.

Blowers switches to No 8, with Dan Ward-Smith dropping to the bench, Nathan Budgett moving from the second row to the blindside flank and Mariano Sambucetti coming in at lock.

Harlequins are without All Blacks fly-half Nick Evans, who suffered a knee injury against Saracens last weekend. His place goes to Fiji No 10 Waisea Luveniyali.
