Down the Blindside: James Foss
Age: 21
Nickname: Fozzy
Position: Blindside flanker
Previous clubs: I joined St Mary's as a five-year-old and still come back to Bristol to train on Thursdays and play on Saturdays even though I'm in the last year of my degree at UWIC in Cardiff. I'm studying to be a teacher.
Honours: Played for the Bristol and District Under-15s, and lucky to have appeared in and won a few Combination Cup youth finals.
Best and worst dressed team-mate: Ian Broughton is definitely the best dressed and Marcus Jenkins, the worst ... he looks like an idiot!
Rugby hero/villain: Jonny Wilkinson's always been the hero because he's in a different class and is top quality. Villain ... England captain Steve Borthwick, because I don't think he should be where he is.
Best/worst rugby memories: It meant a lot to me to be named player of the season last year, and also our Combination Cup wins. The worst has got to be this season and our losing streak.
Superstitions? I try to keep the same pair of sausages (lifting pads) for the whole season.
Injuries: I was out for six months earlier this year after rupturing my patellar tendon. That wasn't much fun.
Claim to fame: My dad, Alex, was the original carpenter on the BBC show DIY SOS.
Describe yourself in five words: Lively, moaner, ambitious and outgoing.
