Blaze started in roof before tearing through three homes
ONE person needed to be treated for shock and another for smoke inhalation as fire ripped through three houses in Westerleigh.
The blaze started in the roof of one of the houses in Mill Crescent shortly after 1pm on Friday, before spreading to the other two nearby.
A total of nine fire engines were sent to the scene by Avon Fire and Rescue Service and the neighbouring Gloucestershire service.
All three homes were damaged by a combination of flames, smoke and water.
