Clevedon Town 1 Merthyr Tydfil 1: An 80th-minute equaliser from substitute Aaron Blakemore earned Clevedon a precious point in their battle to stay clear of the Southern League Premier Division relegation zone.

A precise through-ball from Jemal Easter saw Blakemore beat Merthyr goalkeeper Andrew Delve at his near post with a low drive. Clevedon had conceded on the stroke of half-time, when Steve Williams got forward on the right to fire in a right-footed shot from 10 yards.

Blakemore almost hit the winner shortly after his goal when heading inches wide from Pete Sheppard's left-wing cross.

Clevedon's best spell was early in the second half when Danny Wring, Craig Loxton and Sheppard all went close.
