Blackpool boss Ian Holloway hoping to attend Longwell Green Sixes
BLACKPOOL manager Ian Holloway hopes to get along to the 35th Longwell Green Sixes at Shellards Road on Sunday, where 16 invited sides will be playing for a trophy named in honour of his father, Bill.
Holloway, pictured, said: "I have many happy memories of the time I spent with my Dad at Longwell Green and I'm proud of the fact that the people of the area still turn out each year to play for a trophy in his name."
The event is staged by Toolstation League club Longwell Green Sports and organisers hope Holloway's busy schedule will allow him to join his mother and other members of his family at the club where he played his football as a youngster, and to hand over the trophy to the winning side.
The action starts at 1pm, with the final at 5.45pm. Keynsham Town, last year's winners, kick-off the action against Cadbury Heath.
