Bitton's Amber Coates brushes Boco aside with hat-trick in the first four minutes
STRIKER Amber Coates plundered a four-minute hat-trick to get Bitton Ladies off to a flying start in their top-of-the-table Gloucestershire County League clash with AEK Boco on Sunday.
Self-employed painter and decorator Coates, 24, claimed the opening goal within seconds of the kick-off, before adding numbers two and three inside four minutes to put her side fully in control against a Boco side that started the game five points clear of Bitton.

"It all happened so quickly I can't quite remember exactly how I scored the goals," said Coates, who has scored ten times for Bitton this season.
"I think the second one was a lob and one of them was a tap-in, but I can't remember the other one!

"It always nice to score a hat-trick, but to get one inside four minutes in such an important game was brilliant.
Top-scorer Meg Bloomer added a further four goals, with Laura Tugwell weighing in with a solitary strike to help Bitton close the gap at the summit to just two points after securing an 8-3 success.
"It was a fantastic team performance," said Coates, who lives in Fishponds. "We didn't want Boco to extend their lead at the top to eight points.
"We are always confident we can win every game we go into, but nobody expected to be winning 3-0 inside the first few minutes.
"It was an important win because it leaves us in a good position with two games in hand behind Boco at the top."
