In the Toolstation League Premier Division, Bitton goalkeeper John Rendell was in brilliant form as his side saw off Bideford 1-0.

Bitton boss Andy Black said: "We gave a battling performance and it was a hard-earned victory."

The only goal of the game came when a cross from Michael Meaker was converted by Craig Mullen.

Elsewhere, Dawlish Town grabbed a 1-0 victory over visiting Larkhall Athletic thanks to a bizarre own goal by goalkeeper Adam Sheppard, who threw the ball into his own net as he attempted to release it to a team-mate.

In Division One, Oldland Abbotonians gained their first victory in four games with a 1-0 success in their home clash against Shrewton United. Matt Huxley scored his 10th goal of the season.

Meanwhile, Cadbury Heath's Toby Colbourne gave them a 1-0 victory at Portishead, while Roman Glass St George and Hengrove Athletic ended 1-1.
