Four men broke into a house on Gloucester Road, tied the residents up while they searched the house and then assaulted one of them.

Police yesterday launched an appeal for information about the incident on Monday evening, near the Zetland Road junction.

The first suspect is a black man, aged 23 to 30, around 6ft 4in tall and stocky. He was wearing a black woollen beanie-style hat, dark clothing, and woollen gloves.

The other suspects are black men, of medium build, wearing dark hooded clothing and gloves. All the suspects had their faces covered.

Anyone with information should contact police on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“A bit more information might be helpful, like what were they looking for and what did they take.We could then keep an eye on ebay to see if it comes up for sale in the near future.”
