Bishop Sutton are proving to be the surprise package in the Toolstation League Premier Division.

Lee Lashenko's men sit fifth in the table and are on a run of five games unbeaten after their 1-0 victory at Corsham Town.

"We have been playing well all season and have surprised a number of teams," said Lashenko.

"I believe the championship is wide open this season and, if we can keep up our present run, we will be in with a chance."

The only goal of the game came on the half-hour mark when Darren Hawkins scored with a header.

Goalkeeper Chris Blammon helped secure the victory with a penalty save 10 minutes from time.

Hallen slipped to a 1-0 home defeat against struggling Radstock Town as Nathan Flower hit the only goal on 70 minutes.

There was a 10-goal thriller at Longwell Green Sports, who drew 5-5 against Dawlish Town.

Dave Parnell (2), Chris Churchill, Matt Dark and Mark Summer scored for Sports, who threw away leads of 3-0, 4-3 and 5-4.

Bitton were also involved in a high-scoring encounter as they drew 3-3 at home to Street.

Matt Tiley, Mark Cherry and James Clark brought Bitton from 2-0 down to 3-2 up, but they could not hang on.

Brislington were disappointed to only draw 1-1 with Barnstaple Town, the Devon side's Stan Paxton cancelling out Russ Coombs' opener.

Bristol Manor Farm took the lead at Bideford through Dan Dunt, but Ben Wood notched two late goals to turn things around for the hosts.

Welton Rovers won 2-1 against Melksham Town, Dean Evans and James Billing scoring after Simon Gillett had given Town the lead.

Oldland Abbotonians enjoyed a similar victory at Bridport, Matt Huxley scoring twice after Darren Watts had put the Dorset side ahead.

Cadbury Heath played out a 3-3 draw at Shrewton United.

Toby Colbourne put Heath in front before Craig Lewis, Ross Bentall and Jessie Walters gave United a 3-1 lead.

However, late goals from Chris Astley and Colbourne gave Heath a point.
