A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries in a road crash in Bristol.

The 34-year-old lost control of his bike in Gaunt's Earthcott Lane, Almondsbury, at 10.15am on Saturday.

When paramedics from Great Western Ambulance arrived they found he had suffered a serious fracture below one of his knees.

He also had a dislocated shoulder and had to be taken by the Great Western Air Ambulance to Frenchay Hospital for surgery.

His injuries were not life-threatening. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
