Despite taking the lead through Jody Bevan, Cinderford suffered a home defeat to Abingdon United in the BGB League Division One South and West.

There were few chances in a tame first half but the Forresters took the lead 10 minutes after the restart when Bevan steered home a cross from Kris Witcombe.

And Cinderford's goalkeeper Matt Bath kept his side's lead intact when he saved an Anni Odiambo penalty five minutes later.

However, Odiambo soon made amends as he levelled the scores on 70 minutes with a header.

Declan Benjamin then put the visitors into the lead before Julian McCombe made the points safe for Abingdon with his side's third.
