Bell steps up as Barnes is unavailable for Clifton
Clifton will host Old Patesians without their player-coach John Barnes, who will be on duty with Bristol for their EDF Energy Cup match against Saracens.
Barnes combines playing and coaching at Clifton with being Bristol's rugby operations assistant, and his services are needed at the Memorial Stadium, so Andy Bell is promoted from the bench to deputise at fly-half.
Clifton make one other change, with Andy Edwards coming in at openside flanker and Graham Hardy dropping to the bench.
Second-placed Clifton are one of two currently unbeaten clubs in South West One and trail leaders Redingensians on points difference.
"After a good win away at Coney Hill last week, we have two home games and will be looking to win both, but we recognise that Old Pats will be a very tough game," said Barnes.
"They currently lie in mid-table but they are good on their day, especially if their exceptional captain, James Pettigrew, plays on the front foot.
"He's one of the best players we've come up against in the past few years and we'll be doing our best to stop him."
Weston-super-Mare coach Dave Healy has named the same starting line-up that secured a narrow home victory over high-flying Bracknell last weekend for tomorrow's trip to Cleve, but Josh Littlewood has been added to the bench.
Cleve, who lost at Exmouth last Saturday, have only won once this season and are two places from the bottom of the table and another two places behind the Seasiders.
"Cleve haven't had the sort of start to the season that they would have wished but neither have we," said Healy.
"The players know each other fairly well as the sides met at least three times last season and there has been a traditional rivalry between the two.
"We have obviously been on a high after our win over Bracknell and we will be looking to build on that."
Nathan Huntley returns to partner Jon Pritchard in the centre for Cleve, with Tom O'Leary switching to the wing and Marcus Brooker dropping out of the starting line-up. In the pack, Ian Thomas returns at lock in place of Dave Partington.
Cleve's chairman of rugby, Mark Davis, said: "Any game against Weston is going to be tough especially on this occasion as both sides need to secure another win.
"Games between the two sides are usually won by the one with home advantage.
"This is a keenly-contested league this season and, apart from the two unbeaten sides at the top, results could go either way.
"A couple of wins from those lower down the table could see your side move up into the top five."
