Bell to keep faith with his new-look Clevedon line-up
Clevedon Town boss Mickey Bell saw his young team suffer a five-goal reverse at Thatcham Town on Saturday after handing debuts to seven players on the back of a mass exodus following relegation from the Southern League Premier Division last season.
The former Bristol City star, however, will keep faith with the nucleus of his side when Clevedon entertain Stourport Swifts at home tonight.
Bell said: "We won't be pressing the panic button just yet. The lads just need to keep believing in themselves."
Bell will be without goalkeeper Sam Burgess (broken wrist), but has signed former Nailsea Town stopper James Mellor. Bell has also bolstered the right side of his midfield with the signing of ex-Millfield School pupil Lewis Ellis. Paul Michael and Sam Teale are added to the squad.
Clevedon: Mellor, Fisher, White, Wilmot, Kingdon, Mills, Kington, Hartnup, Thorne, Plummer, Michael, Teale O'Donovan, Townley, Brimson, Moss, Charman, Porter.
● Paulton Rovers boss Andy Jones is still unlikely to be able to call on the services of defender Gordon Reick for the trip to Wimborne Town tonight.
The German centre-back has agreed a loan move from Bath City but is awaiting international clearance. Ollie Price is suspended.
Paulton: Phillips, Waters, Allward, Rich, Marshall, Hart, B Cleverley (C), Jeffries, Loxton, Lane, Claridge, O'Connor, D Cleverley, Lacey, Burchill, Cooper.
