Bromley 1 Bath City 1: Bath boss Adie Britton declared his side will fight to the end of the season in their attempt to gain the final play-off spot in Blue Square South.

Britton said: "We really want to go to the end of the season unbeaten. Perhaps if we draw another game or even two games it might still be we can get in there. We are certainly not giving up on it. We have got a good chance and we will keep on battling away."

Despite only managing a draw at Hayes Lane, Bath's cause was further helped by play-off rivals Chelmsford City losing to Team Bath.

Despite hanging on for a point as the home side finished strongly Britton rued his teams missed chances.

He said: "In the first half today against the wind I thought we played very well. The movement up front was good, we won the battle in the middle of the field and again we have not taken our opportunities. We should have come in at half-time with the game won."

Darren Edwards was unfortunate on the half-hour mark to see his header come back of the upright with keeper Gareth Williams beaten.

Bromley scored first when a cross-cum-shot from Ali Chabaan was pushed away by keeper Paul Evans to Harry Harding, who followed up to slam the ball into the net.

Within three minutes, Bath were back on level terms. After good approach play from Edwards and Stuart Douglas the ball fell to Ali Gibb – making his first league start for City – whose cross was fired home by Mark Badman.
