Bath Overflows with Donations for Elderly Patients
ELDERLY patients at the Bristol Royal Infirmary Hospital have received toiletries thanks to kind hearted pub regulars.
The Ship Inn in Alveston installed a bath tub inside the pub asking people to donate unwanted soaps, shampoos and lotions to its hospital appeal.
Landlady Donna Telford set up to bathtub to collect toiletries for patients at ward 23, which are elderly patients with no family members to care for them.
The 15th century Tudor Coaching Inn in Thornbury Road launched the appeal following the success of a similar Easter Egg Appeal for underprivileged youngsters in Bristol.

However, she says she has been overwhelmed by the response with the bath overflowing with hundreds of donations.
Donna, 47, who has run the pub for the past eight years, said: "The bath has been overflowing at times so I have had to take a lot of it out.
"We have been completely overwhelmed by the response and I am sure the hospital will be delighted with these goods.
"These items have been given to patients with no family members to care for them and assist them with their bathing needs.
"Our customers have been so generous donating everything from soaps to bubble baths, shampoo, body scrubs and moisturisers; they are so kind and always get behind our fundraising efforts."
